This is my first ever completed skin for osu! I started working on it in 2018 as a personal skin but never finished it.
Five years later, I've decided to pick it back up, refine it and publish it for others to use. It may not be perfect, but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless.
The name comes from Cherenkov radiation, a type of radiation with a bright blue glow.
* The Taiko skin is not required, but I recommend downloading it because I made a few changes that I think make it look better in Taiko mode
Instructions
Double click on the .osk file to add it to your skins folder
In game, go to options and make sure "Ignore all beatmap skins" is enabled. This prevents combo colors from making hit circles and sliders look weird, as the skin is intended to be only blue
If you download the Taiko skin, enable "Use Taiko skin for Taiko mode" as well (don't rename the skin or it won't load)
I recommend setting the cursor size to at least 1.6x for a smooth cursor trail. The cursor is intentionally small for this reason
If you're using a different aspect ratio, follow these instructions:
Download the base skin and the additional assets for your aspect ratio
Copy all the images from the assets folder into the skin folder (C:\Users\[your name]\AppData\Local\osu!\Skins\Cherenkov) If you're also using the Taiko skin, make sure to copy any assets with "taiko" in the name into that folder as well
If you want to get rid of the girl in Taiko mode, download these blank assets and copy them into the base skin and/or Taiko skin folder
You can also change the fruit catcher to this if you don't want the girl there either
